dc.description.abstractO trabalho visa apresentar a importância do acervo botânico do Centro Cultural Sítio Roberto Burle Marx – SRBM e como este, foi constituído, ao longo dos anos, e protegido como bem cultural. Propõe uma reflexão sobre a sua conservação no contexto da gestão do Sítio, diante do mau estado de conservação, diagnosticado no inventário realizado na Família Araceae. São discutidas as prioridades estabelecidas para a gestão dos diferentes acervos que compõem o SRBM, incluindo-se o paisagístico, o museológico e o arquitetônico, além do botânico, considerando-se que este último justificou a existência do local, dando-lhe sentido e razão de ser. Roberto Burle Marx, em sua trajetória profissional, é considerado um intelectual com múltiplas habilidades artísticas e homem com conhecimentos de botânica, que, com a utilização e valorização da flora brasileira, contribuiu de forma impressionante no campo da botânica e do paisagismo através da sua coleção de plantas. Reconhecido mundialmente pelos seus projetos paisagísticos, buscou, juntamente com os botânicos, a valorização e o emprego de plantas nativas, que pudessem, um dia, fazer parte do vocabulário paisagístico. Isso o levou a realizar expedições de coletas de plantas, resultando na constituição do seu acervo botânico. A procura por um local, para abrigar a coleção de plantas que crescia, ocorreu na década 1940, quando comprou o Sítio Santo Antônio da Bica, hoje SRBM. A preocupação com a perpetuação do seu acervo levou Burle Marx e alguns botânicos ao envolvimento com instituições públicas, recorrendo a estas para garantir a preservação do local, iniciada com o seu tombamento pelo Governo Estadual, seguida pela doação do Sítio para o Governo Federal e o tombamento por esta mesma instância governamental. As discussões sobre a caracterização do Sítio de diferentes maneiras – centro cultural, museu, museu vivo, museu multidisciplinar, reserva natural, jardim histórico e jardim botânico – proposta nesta dissertação é importante para uma reflexão sobre as prioridades estabelecidas na sua gestão como patrimônio cultural, levando a discussões sobre os instrumentos e procedimentos para sua preservação e especialmente a conservação do acervo botânico: os planos de manejos, os inventários e as práticas cotidianas de conservação.
dc.description.abstractenThe present study aims to present the importance of the botanical collection of the Centro Cultural Sítio Roberto Burle Marx – SRBM, haw it was set up and protected as cultural heritage over the years. It proposes a reflection about the conservation of the botanical collection in the context of the management of the SRBM, considering the poor state of conservation that was diagnosed in the inventory held in the family Araceae. Priorities set out in the management of the different types of cultural heritage the SRBM holds in addition to the botanic collection, as the artistic collections, buildings, and Roberto Burle Marx landscape project, are discussed considering that the botanic collection was what motivated him to build the place and their for should be valuated as the principal collection. In his professional trajectory as an intellectual with multiple artistic skills and knowledge of Botany and impressive work in the field of landscape worldwide recognized, he dedicated his time collecting Brazilian plants that could one day be part of the landscape vocabulary, factors that led him to the formation of his botanical collection. Looking for a place to House this collection in late 1940, he bought the Place Santo Antonio da Bica, today SRBM. Concern over the perpetuation of the Sítio Roberto Burle Marx and his botanic collections led to the involvement with public institutions, using them to ensure the preservation of the site, starting with the listing of the Sítio by the State Government, followed by the donation of the place to the Federal Government, that also listed it as Brazilian cultural heritage. Priorities set out in its management as cultural heritage, are important in the dissertation, leading to discussions about the characterization of the site in different ways – cultural center, museum, living museum, nature reserve, historical garden and botanical garden – and the instruments and procedures for its preservation and especially the preservation of botanical collection: management plans, inventories and the daily practices of conservation.
