dc.description.abstractEsta pesquisa tem como tema o conceito de Lugar associado aos processos de patrimonialização dos bens culturais ferroviários, no caso, aqueles classificados no âmbito da Lei 11.483/2007, através da qual se administram as atividades, critérios e metodologia referentes ao processo de seleção e inscrição (Valoração) desses bens no mapa do patrimônio nacional. Foram considerados para fins de análise aqueles bens operacionais e não operacionais, móveis e imóveis da extinta RFFSA, em nosso caso: a Estrada de Ferro Noroeste do Brasil em Mato Grosso do Sul, sua história de origem, as narrativas de construção e evolução, as memórias compartilhadas com os passageiros e funcionários, o seu declínio, assim como sua conversão das antigas estruturas e objetos em patrimônio. A construção do trabalho se deu através de identificação e análise de material institucional documental textual e iconográfico da ferrovia, como também entrevista com pessoas que foram inspiradas pelos aspectos simbólicos do trem. A pesquisa objetivou refletir sobre os sistemas patrimoniais desta categoria, buscando reinterpretar os locais através de perspectivas teóricas multidisciplinares (arquitetura e geografia, principalmente); além de buscar compreender o processo de patrimonialização desses bens culturais ferroviários nas três esferas. Deste modo, escolhi o trecho pantaneiro da ferrovia, com o objetivo de entender não apenas o conceito de Lugar como categoria de análise, mas visando incorporar essa leitura dentro de outras referências e narrativas relacionadas à cultura e memória ferroviária como contributos para a patrimonialização e tentando entender as percepções e sentimentos das pessoas sobre o território ferroviário.
dc.description.abstractenBeyond Exceptionality: Place and reference in the patrimonialisation processes of railway cultural goods: Northwest Railway of Brazil, Mato Grosso do Sul Abstract: This research aims at discussing the concept of Place associated to the patrimonialisation processes of railway cultural assets, specifically those classified in the scope of Law 11,483/2007, through which the activities, criteria and methodology regarding the process of selection and registration (Valuation) of these assets in the map of the national heritage are administered . Operating and non-operating assets belonging to the extinct RFFSA were considered for analysis which highlighted the Brazilian Northwest Railroad in the state of Mato Grosso do Sul, his origin story, the construction and evolution narrative, the memories shared with passengers and staff, its decline, as well as its acknowledgment of old structures and objects as heritage. The dissertation was based on the identification and analysis of textual documents and railway iconographic institutional material, as well as on interviews with people that were inspired by the symbolic aspects of the train. The research aimed to reflect on the notion of heritage systems, seeking to reinterpret the railway, its assets and meanings through multidisciplinary theoretical perspectives (architecture and geography, mainly); besides intending to understand the process of patrimonialisation of these railway cultural assets in the municipal, state and federal spheres. For that, I chose the pantaneiro section of the railroad, aiming at not only understanding the concept of Place as an analysis category, but also seeking to incorporate this interpretation into other references and narratives related to the railway culture and memory as contributions to the incorporation of people’s perceptions and feelings of people on the railroad territory in the patrimonialisation processes.
